9-4-08 Power Rankings

Biggest Gainer: Xi Yanks iX: +5 Spots

Biggest Drop: TheTerminator21:-4 Spots

Richmond Power Rankings: 9/4/08

1: Xi Yanks iX: Yanks has been hotter than hot these last few weeks after claiming the top spot from Hondaracer97. Yanks seems to be ontop of his flat track program and has been able to run well in the last 3 races heading into the chase. Richmond will not be a track where he himself will be running, but looking to collect bonus points through a sub driver.

2: Hondaracer97: The ol' Hondaracer continues to show his consistency and has been running hard, even against his own teamates. Honda sat ontop of the standings for 2 weeks and is the 3rd DEI team member to do so this season, with TheTerminator21 and Lonewolfe 74 being the others. Honda seems to be gunning for his first Cup Championship and has 3 wins heading into Richmond.

3: LoneWolfe 74: This DEI driver, never sleeps, it's 24/7 practice for him and he wants to win badly. He has the tools, the talent and the teamates to help him get there. Can anyone beat him if he's not beating himself? Probably not.

4. Daddy AMP: Big Daddy has shown some muscle this year and is tied for 3 wins heading into richmond. He has found a new home at Roush-Fenway and will be looking to lock himself into the top spot heading into New hampshire. He will bring insant credibility to the Roush Team led by Kujoz28.

5. Ox Cry 4 Me xO: He recently signed with JGR, led by XiYanksiX and Ultimo Bigtruck, giving this team 3 solid drivers and a powerhouse. Cry 4 me has been a solid top 5 contender all season and should be able to win more often in the JGR equipment.

6:TheTerminator21: Terminator has terminated himself these last few weeks, with good runs, just not great or racing winning runs. He has used strategy and good handling cars to finish in the top 3 the last several weeks but has not had the dominate cars he was building monthes ago. We feel he will bounce back and should be strong at some upcoming tracks. He hasn't won since Chicago and hasn't led more that 25 laps in any event since that race. California has been his worst race to date, finishing 6th. He hasn't won a pole yet either.

7. Birdmann79: What a comeback for the Birdmann. He has comepletly turned his game around and has run like a title contender. He has run up and out front in alot of his races and looks like a shadow of his former self. He is a man on a mission and out to do something.

8. UltimoBigTruck: The Truck Miester has done more moving and packing than he has races won. Trying to find consistency will be key and for that to happen he will need to lay off the caffine and trigger finger in where he is going to race the next week. With that said, he had a outstanding showin in California and probably his best to date. He needs to focus on a good solid finish at Richmond to show he is for real.

9. Compiledmonkey: The Driver of the #24 Dupont has probably been the most quite of the the driver in the top 12. He has run well and will look to show what he has goin into the chase.

10. Kujoz28: It didnt take long for the #99 to show his teams improvement and determination to turn around Roush-Fenway. He has been running strong in recent weeks but also knows he has work to do before knowing he will be able to win a championship. He will not be able to run at Richmond.

11. Provi1: The owner and driver of Haas Racings soon to be #39 car has put a nice season together and has done the majority of it without the help of a teamate or teamates. That has to say something for him.

12: Murdercity Guns and Kfilament: These two will battle it out and who ever can out run the other stands the best chance to being the one locked in the chase going into New Hampshire. It's a coin flip between who will and who won't make it.
