Week 2 : Commisioners Corner for 1-16-10

Well Daytona came and went and as usual we had our fair share of drivers who drive over their head as it may prove to be one of the few times they have an opportunity to win a race this season. Far to often for whatever the reason, guys just cannot settle for racing clean and earning respect among their peers. When respect is earned there is often times more give and take. A 4 year veteren is not going to give a lot of room to a guy who is new to the league and feels he's gotta go full-bore the whole race. We have seen guys time and time again, cause issues with other drivers because of erratic driving styles where it shows that they haven't put in a whole lot of practice time and they end up causing a bad wreck. Going into California, were going to see a lot of Green Flag runs and it will be important to be able to get on and off of pit road. Some drivers don't even practice this and feel they can do it without a problem, thats not the case though and most struggle with this simple task. Guys need to realize that by working on getting to pit road can gain you a ton of time on the track. It can cut down leads and earn you track position and really does become a factor when it counts. Don't over look the basics. it is a long season and we have a lot of different style tracks to prepare for. Don't become known as the guy no one wants to be around on the track as that usually isn't a good thing. You want to be successful and respected on the track, but you have to earn it by racing clean and running well, the right way.

Commisioners Corner 1st Edition of 2010(December 20th, 2009)

Hello and Welcome to the 2010 Season. Sadly this in all likelyhood will be XBL Final Season running on the Xbox 360 Console. However racing will go on in the form of PS3's Grand Turismo 5 and through the PC in NR 2003. I am excited about our upcoming seasons as we bring in many new faces and look to finish our NASCAR racing careers with a solid performance and our ability to enjoy ourselves week in and week out. We head to Daytona where tempers are sure to flair over the very first and most prestigious race of the year, The Daytona 500. Season's are not won or lost by winning this race, just ask me, I only went on to win one other event during the year, but it's important to be able to put yourselves in an good spot to win the race. A lot of different strategies are played and we all have our own agenda. You don't have to like it, but please respect it. This season is going to be fiercly intense. Their are a lot and I mean A LOT of egos in this league and a lot of guys have confidence from each other and what they bring to the table. It will be important to keep in the back of our mind just what this is supposed to be about, racing and having fun. Sometimes we all lose sight of that. We're poised to have a great season in 2010 and hopefully we can go out on a Positive Bang. I would like to Commend Forever3fanwv for his work on the Top 12 plaques he made and shipped to the 2009 Chase finalists. That was superb work and a very generous thing to do. I look forward to racing with you in 2010.
